Sender requires SMS authentication on portal | If this option is set to “On” an SMS token will be required by the sender before login at the portal |
External senders needs invite | Specify if External senders need an invite to send files through FileCap. Setting this option to On will result in the following: The portal will be closed for external senders that want to send files to your company. The only way to send a file to your company is by using a invite that is send using the Outlook plugin, MacOS app or iOS APP. |

Downloader needs valid email | When sending a transfer to multiple recipients they will be asked for their email address. This will check against the original recipients of the transfer. With this setting enabled it does the same for transfers with a single recipient.
Configuring this setting to Off is generally advised because it often happens that users have multiple email addresses. A downloader would need to know the exact email address the sender used. Configuring this setting to Off does not disable this check when sending to multiple recipients. |
Invitee can use secure sending | Setting this to On allows invitees to use the “Secure send” option (Transfer with password/SMS) and the “Quick send” option in the FileCap portal.
When setting this to Off invitees can only use the “Quick send” option. |
MSP admin access | Setting this to On allows MSP admins to access this FileCap customer portal.
Note: Only available when an MSP license is used and logged in as MSP user. |
Removed features
Since FileCap server version 4.0.8 the following menu options are removed:
File transfers need approval by manager | The sent file will need to be approved by a manager, this manager will receive an email and has to approve the file transfer |
Approval email address | Specify the email address of the person who needs to approve file transfers. |
