This screen is showing the currently installed version of FileCap and if there is an update available the Latest version and the release notes.
There are three ways to update FileCap:
Update
Click on the “Update” button when there is an update available, to update the FileCap server to the most recent version. The update process will start when pushing the button.
Install critical security updates
Click on the “Install critical security updates” button to install critical operating system updates (not the FileCap Server version). The update process will start when pushing the button and the server will restart when the updates are installed.
Plan update
With the “Plan update” button it is possible to plan the update to the most recent version. The update process will start on the planned date/time.
How to plan an update
Click the “Plan update” button to see the following screen:
Type | There are two types to plan the update; Single time update With this option you will plan the update on a planned date/time to run only once.Repeating update With this option you will plan a repeating update. This will start on the planned date/time and repeat every moment selected at “Update every”. |
Start date and time | Select the date and time the update process should run. |
Update every | Here you can select when the update process should be started again. For example Every 1 week after the start date and time.
Note: This option is only available when choosing the type “repeating update”. |
Planned update overview
When there is a planned update created you will see the following screen:
If a planned update is scheduled you will be able to delete the planned date/time as well by clicking on the date/time and click the “Delete” button.
