In the first screen you need to change the password for login to the administration portal.
After you entered a new password click “Next”.
In the next step, enter the company settings:
|Company name||Enter your company name here. This name will be used in various places, such as greeting banners and in emails.|
|FileCap system email address||The email address used by the FileCap server to send emails.|
|Company logo||Optional: Upload a company logo here that will be used in the FileCap Portal|
|Background image||Optional: Upload a background/wallpaper that will be used in the portal|
After you entered the company settings click “Next”.
In the next step enter the system settings:
|Full external hostname||Specify the fill external hostname of FileCap (Example: filecap.company.com)|
|SMTP server||Specify the hostname or IP address of the mail server that FileCap will use for sending mail messages.
Note: additional settings (like authentication) are available after the initial setup at System settings -> Mail)
|License||Optional: Upload the FileCap license string here. If you did not yet receive a license you can leave this field empty and you will use a default 30 day standard (STD) trial license.|
After you entered the system settings click “Next”.
In the next step enter the Transfer settings:
|Local domains||Enter all email domains used within the company (Example: company.com company.nl company.de)
People who will use the FileCap portal can only send files to mail addresses within these domains.
|Local networks||Enter the local networks that are allowed to send files to any recipient domain. (Example: 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0)|
|Max. number of downloads||Enter the maximum number of times the uploaded file can be downloaded. When user editable is enabled, the user can specify the maximum number of downloads (Up to the maximum number of downloads specified in the admin-panel).|
|Max. days to store downloads||Enter the maximum number of days the uploaded file will be available before it gets deleted. When user editable is enabled, the user can specify the number of days before deletion (Up to the maximum number of day specified in the admin-panel).|
After you entered the transfer settings click “Finish”.
The setup is now complete and the panel will refresh in 5 seconds to apply the new settings.
